ENVIRONMENTAL and NATURAL RESOURCES PRACTICE

Abadie | Schill offers a wealth of experience and expertise in environmental and natural resources law.

We handle a variety of permitting, rulemaking, enforcement, litigation and transactional matters involving a wide spectrum of federal and state regulatory regimes and programs. Our attorneys practice before state and federal environmental and natural resources agencies, boards, and commissions, including but not limited to the New Mexico Environment Department, the New Mexico Environmental Improvement Board, the New Mexico Water Quality Control Commission, the New Mexico State Engineer, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the federal Environmental Appeals Board. We also represent clients in litigation before state and federal district and appellate courts.

Our attorneys have developed a unique understanding of, and insight into, the inner-workings of the various state and federal regulatory agencies, boards and commissions having jurisdiction over environmental and natural resources issues.  This familiarity enables our team to effectively navigate the administrative process on behalf of corporate and governmental clients and productively engage with regulators to achieve favorable client outcomes.

Our downtown Santa Fe office is located in close proximity to the home of numerous state and federal agencies, boards and commissions with which our clients regularly interface.
